Am I too young to get porcelain veneers?

I'm 18 and some of my teeth at the front have gaps in between them which make my teeth look like piano keys :S Would I be too young to get porcelain veneers on my teeth? Also one tooth at the front sticks out more than the rest so it isnt align with the others..would this tooth disrupt getting porcelain veneers done or can dentists fix this before hand?
